We simply couldn't exist without the amazing support of our volunteers and, during National Volunteer Week, we celebrate and pay tribute to all our volunteers, both past and present.

National Volunteers Week takes place during the first week of June every year and it is a time to come together to say a heartfelt "thank you" to all of those people who support us and those we care for, through giving their time for free.

Across the country, hospices alone benefit from around 150,000 volunteers, not only saving those organisations millions of pounds each year, but bringing a range of unique skills and experiences to the table that help charitable causes such as Mountbatten do things that they just would not be able to do.

Over the next few days, you'll meet some of our newest volunteers - our inspirational Mountbatten Neighbours and the people they're supporting.
