Bereavement Coordinator

  • 37.5 hours per week to be worked flexibly in accordance with the needs of the service, which may include evenings, weekends and bank holidays

The post holder will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective bereavement service to bereaved, families and their carers, where no two days are the same.

As part of a close-knit team the post holder will support the development of the service in line with best practice and research. They will manage their own caseload, ensuring adherence to NICE guidelines.

Due to individuals' differing needs within bereavement care we need to ensure we offer a full and flexible service.

Therefore, we welcome applications from dual qualified Social Workers/Counsellors experienced in working in bereavement and palliative care and are able to offer a broad range of skills and expertise to support people in the right way.

We support your continuous learning, including supporting staff development.

The post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check the cost of which is covered by the hospice.
