To explore the fundamental elements of effective communication, and to develop knowledge, skills and confidence in communicating in a variety of situations, for example managing emotive conversations at end of life.

  • Think about both positive and negative aspects of communication and their impact
  • Discuss methods to improve our communication
  • Understand potential barriers to good communication and ways to overcome these
