A new exhibition of artwork, featuring a variety of paintings from tropical birds to Island beauty spots is on display at Mountbatten.

Rose Sheppard, a former student of the Seaview School of Painting, is showcasing her work in Mountbatten’s art gallery throughout April.

Despite now being partially blind, Rose, who has previously exhibited at the Mall Galleries in London, continues to enjoy painting as a member of the Pat’s People group.

She will donate 50 percent of her profits to Mountbatten.

Rose said: “I know what good care Mountbatten provides so I’m really happy to be displaying my work at the hospice.”
