Damien Paul Band finale to concert series

The final live music concert of Earl Mountbatten’s 2016/17 Concert Series promises to be among the best when it is staged next week (7:30pm, Thursday 6 July 2017).
The Damien Paul Band performance promises to be full of energy, as Damien and his band bring their broadly blues-based sounds to the John Cheverton Centre. Influenced by Muddy Waters, Tom Waits and Johnny Cash, to name a few, Damien is a regular performer on the local circuit who also creates and records his own original work.
Admission to the event is just £10 and includes wine and canapés.
Although this is the last performance in the current series, Earl Mountbatten is delighted to announce that its popular live music evenings will continue. After a short break in August, the 2017/18 Concert Series will kick off in September, with the chance to hear music to suit all tastes on the first Thursday of every month.
Nigel Hartley, Chief Executive, said: “Our concerts have proved incredibly popular and the atmosphere on the night is really great. Many people have been surprised that they could have such a good evening at their local hospice, and that really has been the aim of these concert events. We want to show people that the hospice is a normal and welcoming environment, and to dispel the myths around what a hospice is thought to be about.
“We look forward to launching our new concert series shortly and hope that people will continue to come along and enjoy some incredible talents,” Nigel added.
