About Us

Earl Mountbatten Hospice is an independent charity and national leader in providing expert medical, nursing and domiciliary (personal) end of life care and bereavement support to over 600 people in their own homes on any one day.

We also offer a range of other specialist services including expert psychological support, creative and complementary therapies and an Island-wide bereavement service which supports adults, as well as families and children thanks to our unique partnership with KissyPuppy, the Sophie Rolf Trust.

All of our work across our community is backed up by a 16-bed inpatient unit, a self-help day and rehabilitation centre - the John Cheverton Centre - as well as an expert team based at St Mary's Hospital which supports people in dying in hospital, transfering to the hospice or returning home.

We are an independent, registered charity and rely on the generosity of the Island's community to raise around £5m of the approximate £7m we need every year to run our services.

Read our Statement of Purpose.

"They look after you and they're so caring. I'm not frightened of dying."
