John Pulsford, Trustee

John Pulsford was County Treasurer and Director of Finance and Information for the Isle of Wight Council for nine years from 1994 until he retired in 2003. In his earlier career he had spells with Sheffield City Council, Kent County Council, Plymouth City Council and Somerset County Council.

Post retirement from full time work John carried out various interim assignments including looking after the pension fund of a London borough for almost 2 years. He recently retired from working part time for a large investment manager, specialising in local government pension funds.

John is a governor of St Catherine’s School in Ventnor and Vice Chairman of Age UK Isle of Wight. He has a keen personal interest in the hospice through the care given over many years to his late daughter, Rachel.

"What should have been a very stressful time was eased by the love, professionalism and warmth we received from all the staff."
