Buses
On Sunday 13 May 2018, there are free shuttle bus services to and from every walk from Isle of Wight College (Park and Ride), Ryde, West Wight, Sandown and East Cowes. 

Southern Vecits are offering free all day travel on any Southern Vectis bus/route to all walkers with a Walker Number or Walk the Wight 2018 medal. Please view their website for timetable

Driving and parking
If you are planning to drive to the walk we strongly recommend using the free Park and Ride service from IW College to the start points (Bembridge, Carisbrooke, Sandown).

Cross Solent travel
Hovertravel are running two early crossings especially for our walkers, 06:15 and 06:45 - these connect with our shuttle buses to Bembridge. Please see below for our bus timetable information. 
Hovertravel are offering 50% discount for walkers. Please see travel offers section below.

Red Funnel's 06:45 Red Jet crossing from Southampton connects with our 07:15 shuttle bus to Bembridge. Please see below for our bus timetable information. 
Red Funnel are offering walkers an exclusive foot passenger return fare of £10 per person. Please see travel offers section below.

If you are travlling from the mainland and starting at Carisbrooke, please use scheduled Southern Vectis services to get to Newport Bus Station and catch a WTW shuttle bus to the Carisbrooke start.


    
 
Please refer to the event opening and closing times and complete your walk within these times - for example, if you start at Bembridge at 8am and intend to complete the full walk, you must arrive at the Alum Bay finish line by 6pm.

FOOT PASSENGER OFFER

The Needles Landmark Attraction is offering all walkers from the Island a free parking permit for its car park. This permit is valid for a year, so you can use it on the day of the walk.
To apply, simply take your walker number and proof of residency (i.e. driving licence or utility bill) to The Needles Landmark main office, situated next to Alum Bay Glass before Sunday 6th May. Terms and Conditions apply - contact The Needles Landmark Attraction for more details. PLEASE NOTE: without a  valid parking permit usual car parking charges will be in place.
