Major Events Fundraiser

Salary up to £25,500.00 per annum

37.5 hours per week including occasional weekends/evenings to support events
 
We are looking for a dedicated, innovative and ambitious Major Events Fundraiser to work as part of our Fundraising Team here at Mountbatten.  Our teams here at Mountbatten strives to provide the highest quality specialist palliative care to the Island.  We pride ourselves in being experts in our field.  We are innovative and bold.  We welcome everyone and care passionately about the care we provide.  We are committed to the professional development of our staff.
 
If you are target driven, hard-working and enjoy managing all aspects of large-scale events this is the opportunity for you. The Major Events Fundraiser plays an integral part in our fundraising and awareness activities with responsibility for our Major Events Programme which includes leading on the delivery and growth of the Island’s largest fundraising event – Walk the Wight.
 
We are looking for an experienced, organised and driven individual with previous experience in managing marketing campaigns (including social media), event management, fundraising, ticketing and budgeting who can deliver the current programme of events while recognising opportunities for growth and implementing strategies to achieve objectives. You will be an excellent communicator and possess strong project management skills with previous experience managing a small team. 
 
You must be competent in the use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

SENIOR STAFF NURSE
CARE CO-ORDINATION CENTRE

Salary up to £36,644.00 per annum

AGENDA FOR CHANGE BAND 6

37.5 hours per week worked on a shift rotation inclduing weekends, nights and bank holidays
 

For us to extend our services further we need to recruit more qualified nurses. We therefore have an excellent development opportunity for someone looking to step into a nurse leadership role, as our new Senior Staff Nurse, based within our Care Co-Ordination Team.

We a seeking to recruit a dynamic qualified nurse to support our expanding Care Co-Ordination Centre who will be able to lead a team of professional in the provision of 24/7 specialist palliative and end of life care to our patients. 

Working in conjunction with other teams here at Mountbatten who support and provide advice to our patients, their families and carers, to enable them to continue to remain within their own homes, here on the Island.  As part of our Care Co-Ordination Centre you will be given the opportunity to develop your decision making and telephone triage skills, whilst working as part of our multi-disciplinary team here at Mountbatten.

Ideally you will have previous nursing experience for patients who are receiving palliative or end of life care within a care setting.  You will have good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing and complex cases.  You will always strive to provide the highest standards of care to your patients, whilst providing support to their families/carers, ensuring that you act in the best interest of your patients.  You will be a good communicator, whilst being sensitive and empathic.
