Schools Walk the Wight & The Schools Walk Schools Walk the Wight is a great way to encourage children to be active while also supporting their local community. The aim is for each child to walk the same distance as one Walk the Wight (26 miles) by clocking up their miles during every day walking activities. Children register through their school and registration forms and fundraising packs are sent home in children’s book bags. The fundraising pack includes a map and stickers to record their miles and a sponsorship form to raise money for Mountbatten. Prizes are also up for grabs for children who take up the £20 challenge. Find all the details at https://www.mountbatten.org.uk/the-20-challenge Children can clock up their miles however they choose. All walking counts and for every 1 mile (or 30 minute walk) children can mark this off with a sticker on the map.
