Presentation, discussion and small group work.

Learning outcomes

At the end of this workshop, participants should be able to:

  • Describe what MND is
  • Explore how MND impacts on people’s lives (including significant others, family and carers)
  • Describe dietary support needs
  • Identify the role of speech and language therapy in the management of MND
  • How to manage mobility with a person with MND
  • How to manage their respiratory needs
  • Be aware of the support available at the end of life
