Mountbatten Isle of Wight sunflower merch teams will be at Robin Hill Adventure Park for Classic Isle this weekend, as the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra performs two nights of uplifting music.

For the second year running, Mountbatten volunteers will be on site with merchandise designed to further brighten your evening of classical music, while raising vital funds for end-of-life care.

Saturday's Proms 26 promises an uplifting evening of pomp and circumstance, culminating in a spectacular fireworks finale.

Guests are invited to bring a picnic, relax in the beautiful surroundings of Robin Hill and enjoy a programme of much-loved Proms classics, also featuring performances from violinist Lizzie Ball, pianist Thomas Luke, and soprano, Thea Callaghan (below).

On Sunday, the orchestra will perform A Night at the Movies, featuring music by John Williams and Hans Zimmer. Expect delights from Star Wars and Jurassic Park to Harry Potter. Violinist Lizzie Ball, and internationally-renowned pianist James Pearson, will also perform.

The night will conclude with a film score-inspired drone light show, created by aerial display specialists LumaNation.

The event supports Mountbatten Isle of Wight by welcoming our fundraising volunteers, who will be decked out with our with sunflower headbands, brooches and umbrellas, among other merchandise. At Proms 25, your donations raised around £5,000 for Mountbatten Isle of Wight's 24/7 end-of-life care, in homes across the Island, on our inpatient unit, and through outpatients and day services at the John Cheverton Centre.
