Quality of care We are committed to providing the highest quality end of life services to Islanders in their own homes and places that they live, as well as in our Newport building. We also have a small team at St Mary's Hospital in Newport. Our standards are monitored through a system of clinical governance to ensure they are maintained. Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) Mountbatten undertake Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIA) when a new system is implemented, when a new service is launched and when there is a major change in a process. This is to ensure that any change does not have a negative impact on anyone’s data privacy rights. Care Quality Commission The Care Quality Commission (CQC) monitors, inspects and regulates health and social care services to make sure they meet fundamental standards of quality and safety. They will publish what they find, including performance ratings. The CQC sets out what good and outstanding care looks like and makes sure services meet fundamental standards below which care must never fall.Mountbatten was last inspected by the CQC in January 2017.
