Our care & support We can help if... you have MND I have MND If you are living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), Mountbatten is able to provide support and practical help. Our MND clinic, which is held on the first Friday of each month at the John Cheverton Centre, allows you to see a range of professionals from different specialist areas - in one place and at one time. This has been made possible thanks to support from the Isle of Wight and Southampton NHS Trusts, and means that advice can be available from the following services, as required: Speech and Language Therapist Dietician Respiratory Technician Physiotherapist Occupational Therapist Wheelchair Service Clinical Nurse Specialist Palliative Care Doctor Psychologist MND Association visitors It is hoped that the Consultant Neurologist will join the clinic in due course. For access to our clinics, please speak to a Mountbatten Nurse or healthcare professional. Additional support The Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Support Group, for people living with MND and their carers, meets at Mountbatten Hospice from 2pm to 4pm, on the third Thursday of every month in the Multifunction Room.
