Mountbatten Isle of Wight is delighted to reveal over £87,000 was raised at the Sky presents the Isle of Wight Festival 2026.

This staggering amount was the result of the hard work of our volunteer roaming sunflower merch teams and Penny Lane stall holders, as well as the amazing efforts of The IOW Festival Banter Group.

Sunflower umbrellas, which doubled as parasols, crochet fashion (made by members of our Knit and Natter group) and sunflower brooches were among the items available, in return for suggested donations. Mountbatten's charity stall was near the Electro Love and Intoxicated Tea Rooms tents, while our trolley teams roamed the site.

By Sunday, the Main Stage arena was a sea of sunflower umbrellas.

Meanwhile, the IOW Festival Banter Group, fronted by hospice supporter, Gary Boyd, collected £1,092.60.

Mountbatten community fundraiser, Harri McNeil, said: "I can't express how thankful I am to all those who supported Mountbatten Isle of Wight over the Isle of Wight Festival weekend. Our roaming volunteers and stall-runners worked so very hard, and their incredible efforts were bolstered by the brilliant IOW Festival Banter Group, a long-time supporter of our charity.

"These funds will go towards delivering award-winning care for Islanders dealing with death, dying and bereavement, 85 per cent of which is in people's homes.

"Thank you to our team, for showing dedication, care and compassion. Thank you to the Isle of Wight Festival team for your valued support. And thank you to you, for picking up a sunflower or umbrella. Together, we're changing lives and deaths on the Isle of Wight."
