The ‘Rayment’ family business was founded by Mark and Jenny Rayment in 1969 when they began offering fishing trips around Bembridge on the Isle of Wight. The business was then expanded in 1973, when they organised the first ever ‘Cowes Harbour Tour’ during Cowes Week, with a 12-seater boat called the Jenny Lee and they are pleased to say that the Cowes Harbour Tour is still running from Cowes Parade today. The success of the business continued, and the fleet was expanded, now ranging from their smaller Jenny boats which can carry up to 75 passengers to their largest vessel of the fleet Wight Scene which carries up to 500 passengers.

After many successful years and with an excellent reputation, the reigns of the family business were handed over to their daughter and son Ali and Lee Rayment in 2007 and the business has continued to go from strength to strength. With over 50 years in business providing Boat Trips, Harbour Tours, and Charters and with an excellent customer service ethic, the team do not rest on their laurels and are constantly looking at ways of improving the business and the services on offer.

The business now operates from their three terminals at Thetis Wharf in Cowes, Gunwharf Quays Designer Outlet in Portsmouth, and the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. Our flagship trips include the popular ‘Day Trip to Portsmouth’, the ‘Two Ports Cruise’ of Cowes and Portsmouth, the ‘Portsmouth Harbour Tour’ and our ‘Cowes Harbour Trip’. All their vessels are also available for private charter.”
