By going to sea, the helm / Skipper of the boat confirms that it is fit for those conditions and that its crew is competent to sail and compete in them. Eligibility Eligible competitors will be selected by Mountbatten. Each crew will consist of at least three and not more than four members. Helms / Skippers must be registered donors to Mountbatten who have completed a Regatta Entry Form and are at least competent dinghy sailors. Scoring and System Prizes The Low Point system prescribed in Appendix A of the Racing Rules of Sailing will apply. Prizes will be offered to the winning teams in each final category. The results of these draws will be posted on the official SVYC noticeboard no later than 45 minutes prior to the Warning Signal for the first race in each series. Clothing and Safety Equipment Racing Rules of Sailing 40.1 (each competitor shall wear a personal flotation device) applies at all times whilst afloat. Buoyancy Aids are supplied for every sailor and must be worn, unless you are wearing your own personal flotation device. Each team will be responsible for the provision of any additional required safety equipment and appropriate footwear and foul weather clothing. Damage or loss of Equipment Competitors must report any damage or loss of equipment, however slight, to the coxswain of the SVYC Nanny Boat or RIB and on the relevant Declaration Form immediately after each series of races.
