False starts or not going around the course will result in the time not being recorded. Competitors can take part in more than one time trial; in which case the results will be based on their fastest time. Conditions of Entry The Organising Authority may alter the timetable or format of the Events or cancel one or both Events altogether if conditions are unsuitable. In any case, it is the responsibility of each participant, whether in the Time Trial or the Coastal Cruise, to determine whether they are fit to participate in the conditions in which he or she will find themselves. By going to sea, the participant confirms their equipment is fit for those conditions and that he or she is competent to take part in them. Prizes & Scoring System A prize will be awarded to the winner of each Class, so long as there has been more than one entry in that Class. The results of the Time Trial for each Class will be based on the fastest times recorded during the day. Safety Equipment Each participant, whether in the Time Trial or the Coastal Cruise, shall be connected to their Boards by a Leash and wear a personal flotation device at all times whilst afloat. These will be available if you need to borrow one. Accommodation and Travel Each participant will be responsible for arranging their own transport requirements.
