Volunteer Role: Fundraising – Events Volunteer

Time Commitment:

Flexible - including events at weekends and evenings

Why we need your help:

Join our fundraising team and help raise the £10m we need every year to ensure we can continue providing free services to people across the Isle of Wight who are facing death, dying and bereavement.

What activities will you be involved in as part of this volunteer role?

This can be varied but will typically include things like:

  • Marshalling at events
  • Selling merchandise or raffle tickets
  • Manning a stand
  • Registering event participants
  • Helping to set up an event
  • Collecting donations
  • Thanking people for supporting Mountbatten's work

You will need to:

  • Be willing to volunteer outdoors - whatever the weather!
  • Be physically fit

Training and support provided:

  • Health and safety briefings where needed
  • Shown how to use any equipment as required
  • Support from the Fundraising Team at all times

Recruitment Process Requirements: Registration form, two references, medical questionnaire, DBS check.
