To ensure excellence in end of life care, this course is designed to raise confidence and competence in caring for people as they near and reach the end of their life. Join us and become a ‘Mountbatten End of Life Care Champion’.

Presentation, discussion and small group work.

Learning objectives

  • To be able to manage symptoms at end of life
  • To develop clinical skills in relation to tissue viability, oral hygiene, fluids and nutrition
  • To understand syringe driver use
  • To know how to communicate at end of life
  • To be able to carry out an advance care plan
  • To understand the needs of people living with Dementia and the Namaste approach
  • To understand after-death care

9am – 4pm each day, for 3 consecutive days
