Paintings by a West Wight artist, who died at Mountbatten last year, have been put on display in the John Cheverton Centre.

The family of Patricia Lawrence said they wanted to showcase her talent because they were very proud of her.

Patricia’s love of art, especially watercolour, pastel and pen, inspired a variety of paintings including landscapes, seascapes and animals.

Her work is predominantly displayed in the central corridor area of the John Cheverton Centre.

The exhibition also features an ‘upcycled mannequin’, which Patricia created as a project before she was diagnosed with leukaemia.

Her family hope it can raise money for Mountbatten and they have invited people to put forward ideas about how it can be used.
