Training Contents Nutrition, hydration and Oral Care Effective Infection Control Tissue Viability Bowel, catheter and stoma care Learning Objectives At the end of this short course, participants should be able to: Explain common infections and demonstrate control measures including hand hygiene and appropriate use of personal protective equipment. Consider the importance of fluids and nutrition and the maintenance of good oral health. Discuss issues relating to continence. This will include the care of catheters and stoma care. Consider skin integrity to ensure we recognise what leads to pressure injury and how to support the management of good tissue viability.
