Your child's mission, should they choose to accept it, is to complete 26 miles, the distance of one Walk the Wight, during their everyday activities and ask their friends and family to sponsor them to complete the challenge!

Whether it be skipping, scooting or swimming, 30 minutes of activity equals one Walk the Wight mile.

Your child can complete the final four miles of their Schools Walk the Wight challenge by taking part in the Schools Walk, between Freshwater and The Needles, on Sunday, 12 May (this is optional, they can also complete the challenge without taking part in the Schools Walk).

Registration:

Entry to Schools Walk the Wight is free (in advance) and includes:

* An event pack, walker number and sponsor form.

* An ID wristband to write your adult's mobile number on. This must be worn on the day.

* A medal at the finish line (or sent in the post, if they're not taking part on the day).

Please note, under 16s must walk with an adult when taking part in the Schools Walk. One adult is free, but if you'd like to bring more people to walk with you, they will need to register on the day for a suggested minimum donation of £10 per adult and £5 per child.

Extras:

You can purchase a Walk the Wight T-shirt for your child to wear on the day (£8), a bandana for your dog (£5) or an official Walk the Wight water bottle (£12).

Fundraising:

The school that raises the most in sponsorship will receive a special trophy! Please join your school team when registering!
